Definitely one of the OG bubble tea shop in vancouver!
You won't find any of the "brown sugar" or "cheese foam" trend here but it's the place for your classic slushy drinks. My go-to is the lychee slush with milk and coconut jelly. I love the fact that they put actual lychee fruit in the mix to give it more texture.
The place is a bit small and there's always a line so finding seats is a little difficult. Most of the time I call ahead of time to order for pick-up and then take the drinks to enjoy elseswhere.
I've been going to this place since 2006 and I've never been disappointed. -

I love this bbtea house. Cute little hole-in-the-wall with a great selection of flavours. I highly recommend a taro or black sesame (with pearls or coconut jelly) or a refreshing Chinese pear or lychee with grass jelly. Honestly, you can't go wrong with any of the flavours.
Not as swank as newer bubble tea places, but the drinks are great so you don't need the other stuff. Just remember to bring cash! -

This is a very hyped place. They are known for their fresh fruit slushies. There could be lineups there at popular times, so I went when they opened at 2pm and was the third person to order. By 2:15pm, there were already 15 people waiting for their drinks. Person #1 and #2 we're served at 2:14pm.
I told them no tapioca but when my drink came out, it had tapiaco. Nevermind, I got free tapioca where were quite plump and fresh.
The accept cash only, not even debit.
I ordered the fresh fruit jackfruit slush with milk, $6. Powdered drinks are $5. They also have a small selection of hot food (very strange!).
The place is very small. They can fit 12 people seated.
There is no free WiFi. There is a washroom in the back somewhere. -

This place is super hyped and I can't seem to understand why. From my experiences, they don't have big room for customizations, their regular drinks are far too sweet for my liking, but I suppose the pearls are okay. In terms of ingredient freshness, I wouldn't give them the highest rating.
The wait is usually on the longer side, it's a very small shop with limited places to sit, and if you do get a spot, it's so busy you usually feel guilty if you want to spend a longer amount of time there (so not great for if you want to boba & chill w/friends).
I would say it's just an average spot. Not terrible but not great either. -

A solid bbt spot at king Edward & oak, the best way to get here is too drive since it's a little out of the way. Whenever I come here I always get the same thing , usually their fruit slushes either mango milk or watermelon slush ! So refreshing on a hot day . Their supreme milk tea is also pretty decent. However the best part is definitely the pearls, they're so soft and chewy . I wouldn't recommend customizing the sweetness level as it's not very sweet here. One time I asked for less sweet in the milk tea it tasted kind of bitter . Also this place is cash only which is a bit of a hassle.
I wouldn't go out of my way to come here since there's so many new bubble tea spots around the city, but if I'm around I'll definitely stop by !
